Olivia Faiola is a senior at the University of Denver, double-majoring in Studio Art and Emergent Digital Practices with a minor in Marketing. She is pursuing a distinction in Studio Art alongside working at the University of Denver’s art department as a printmaking assistant.

Faiola’s artwork centers on exploring identity through symbolism, transformation, and personal narrative. Pulling from familial attributes, memories, and lived environments, she uses playful, layered imagery such as rats, fruits and vegetables, and hybrid creatures wearing the faces of herself and her family as stand-ins for emotion, heritage, and self-perception.

Her recent work expands this exploration by incorporating animal figures and hybrid forms to examine traits, family relationships, and inherited narratives. Through this, Faiola considers how memory, lineage, and environment shape her sense of self and how identity continues to evolve over time.
